Senior Software Engineer - Security Clearance Required

Azure Security Team is looking for a Senior Software Engineer. You will br providing a secure cloud platform is vital to win customers and move their workloads to Azure.

The charter of the Azure Security group is to ensure that Azure is the most secure and resilient cloud platform. Azure Platform Security team is responsible to build foundational security services that provide identity & access management, secret protection, deployment integrity for entire Azure infrastructure.

This is a rare opportunity to build foundational security services at hyper scale.

Required / Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
• OR equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience in designing, developing and shipping software / large scale services.
• Demonstrated problem solving and debugging skills.
• Ability to multi-task while balancing short term and long-term needs is essential.

Other Qualifications

• Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and / or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings :
• Microsoft Cloud Background Check : This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire / transfer and every two years thereafter.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
• OR Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
• OR equivalent experience.
• Ability to deal with ambiguity, deliver in an agile environment, be willing to learn and adopt new technologies / industry trends and have good cross group collaboration skills.
• Previous experience building Azure or other Cloud services.
• Previous experience building security services
• Previous experience with Linux operating system programming

Software Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $117,200 - $229,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $153,600 - $250,200 per year.
