We are seeking a trend-savvy, data-driven Pet Product Buyer to curate and procure a compelling assortment of pet products that delight customers and drive revenue. This role is ideal for someone who understands consumer behavior, thrives in vendor negotiations, and has a passion for pets and product innovation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Source and select pet products across categories (food, toys, grooming, accessories, health)
  • Analyze sales data, market trends, and customer feedback to guide purchasing decisions
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers
  • Maintain optimal inventory levels and manage replenishment cycles
  • Collaborate with marketing and merchandising teams to support product launches and promotions
  • Attend trade shows and vendor meetings to discover new products and build relationships
  • Monitor supplier performance and resolve any delivery or quality issues
  • Forecast demand and manage seasonal buying strategies
  • Ensure product assortment aligns with brand values and customer expectations

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of buying or purchasing experience, preferably in retail or consumer goods
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in inventory management systems
  • Excellent negotiation and communication abilities
  • Passion for pets and familiarity with pet care products
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-channel environment
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field preferred
