PURPOSE OF POSITION :

The Senior Sales Manager maximizes revenue by establishing the best sales strategies that fit into the company's management strategies and business environment and by performing various sales duties.

They must enhance the image of the hotel and increase customer loyalty through effective communication and management of, clients and business connections, while pursuing customer satisfaction through the organic cooperative relationship with the service department.

Furthermore, the Senior Sales Manager must encourage teamwork and create a cooperative team culture.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATES WILL HAVE :

EDUCATION : Bachelor's degree or higher

EXPERIENCE : 5 years or more in hotel group sales role

  • Hotel Sales experience is required (Entertainment experience preferred)
  • Must have a thorough understanding of hotel operations, profit structure and loss & profit management
  • Must be able to create and implement sales strategies and business development action plans to achieve budgeted goals
  • Results oriented with the ability to be flexible and work well under pressure
  • Ability to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment and have a high-level attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and to partner with others to promote an environment of teamwork
  • Knowledge of Opera and Delphi is a plus
  • Excellent organizational, negotiation, and proposal skills
  • In-depth knowledge of hotel and event contractual language
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Must be professional, courteous, and sociable
  • Possess a gracious, friendly, and fun demeanor
  • Must be capable of establishing and administering a budget
  • Previous event planning experience preferred
  • Excellent command of foreign languages for international business is preferred
  • Prior tradeshow and hospitality event participation
  • Active industry involvement and accreditation within hospitality
  • Other Tasks as assigned by management

Approximate responsibility allocation :

50% Evaluating / responding to leads / RFPs

20% Contracts and Negotiations

15% Business Development

10% Site inspections / client entertaining

5% Travel & Industry Events
