Job Description

Applications will be considered on an as-needed basis determined by department need. This position may close early if the hiring need is filled or do to volume of applications received.

CSN is looking to hire part-time instructors to teach Global Studies courses (mostly on-ground, but possibly online). Job responsibilities will include teaching mostly Introduction to Global Studies.

Duties also include developing syllabi and course materials as well as evaluation of mastery of skills and competencies as required by course outcomes.

Successful candidates are expected to provide an excellent teaching experience, engage in student advisement and participate in assessment of general education, program and course outcomes.

Required Qualifications

Master's degree in global studies or closely related field (e.g., political science, international relations, comparative politics, etc.

from a regionally accredited college or university Ph.D. is preferred with at least 18 graduate credits in the subject being taught.

Preferred Qualifications

Doctors Degree in global studies or closely related field (e.g., political science, international relations, comparative politics, etc.

from a regionally accredited college or university

Ability to teach a course on world geography

Salary Information

This position will be paid $925.00 per credit hour. Credits will vary by semester.
