Compensation

• $20-25 / hour based on prior work experience; approximately $800 - $1,000 weekly assuming 40 hours / week
• Coaches are paid for all time in the studio, whether working with clients or not! Compensation is NEVER commission-based
• Full-time employees should expect 40 hours / week; morning and afternoon shifts available

The Exercise Coach is hiring a Personal Trainer / Health Coach for its new Oakton, VA location opening this Fall. The Exercise Coach is one of the most technologically advanced fitness franchise concepts in the U.

We specialize in overall strength training in one-on-one and small-group personal training sessions using innovative, high-tech, science-backed, proprietary AI & data-driven fitness equipment.

We also provide our clients with nutrition guidance to achieve optimal overall health. Our clients achieve meaningful, measurable, quantitative results that matter most to them with just two, 20-minute workouts per week, in a clean, safe, and private studio environment.

The ideal personal trainer candidates are people-oriented, energetic, and passionate about good health and helping others achieve a healthy lifestyle! No fitness or personal training experience is necessary, but candidates with experience in individual or small-group fitness instruction, or a background in health sciences and / or experience with an outstanding customer service brand are encouraged to apply.

All personal trainers / health coaches will receive paid training and certification in The Exercise Coach methods and technologies and must be able and willing to participate in both our exercise and nutrition methodology.

CPR / AED certification is also required by the start of employment. Initial training will take place in our Centreville, VA studio.

Compensation is NEVER commission-based : coaches are paid for all time in the studio, whether working with clients or not! As an employee at The Exercise Coach, you will have the opportunity to grow with the business if desired as we continue to expand.

This is a ground floor opportunity with a well-established and exciting personal training fitness brand that is expanding into multiple locations in Northern Virginia!

Duties include :

• Conducting exercise and health consultations with clients
• Leading individual exercise sessions using high-tech, motorized equipment
• Demonstrating proper exercise instruction
• Providing exercise instruction to clients with physical limitations and history of injury
• Tracking fitness results for clients utilizing the data captured on computerized fitness equipment from each workout
• Selling monthly and package sessions to prospects
• Following up on leads including by phone and text that respond to our social media advertising
• Working with a team of fellow coaches to motivate and educate a broad range of client types.

Qualifications :

• Applicants should have enthusiasm for Health & Fitness and be willing to adopt our unique resistance training and concentrated cardio program for themselves.
• Applicants should be energetic, personable, empathetic, positive, strong verbal communicators, love helping people, and have a genuine interest in health and fitness.

You must LOVE working with people!

• A college degree or background in Exercise Science, Kinesiology or a health-related field is a plus, but not required. You do not need personal training experience, but having a working knowledge of the human body and the various components of good health and fitness is helpful.
• Current personal training certification or experience is a plus, but not required. Experience working with companies highly regarded for delivering exceptional customer service experiences is a plus, but not required.
• All employees will receive full training (paid) in The Exercise Coach methods and technologies and must ultimately complete The Exercise Coach certification.
• CPR / AED certification from a nationally recognized provider is required to train clients.
• Basic computer skills required.
