Job Title : Cardiac Sonographer (Echo Tech) - 3 Month Contract with Potential to Extend

Agency : CompuRay Medical Staffing - Radiology Specialized Temp and Permanent Placement

Location : Baltimore, MD

Contract Length : 3 months, with potential for extension

Shift : Monday - Friday, 06 : 00 - 16 : 30

Pay Range :

• Within 50 miles : $45 - $60 per hour
• Over 60 miles : $60 - $80 per hour

Job Summary :

We are seeking an experienced Cardiac Sonographer to perform a variety of echocardiograms for both adult and pediatric patients.

This contract role requires someone with expertise in 2D echo, as well as familiarity with advanced imaging techniques such as strain and 3D imaging.

The sonographer will assist in transesophageal echocardiograms and pericardiocentesis procedures for adult patients. This role involves participation in an on-call rotation every 5th week, as well as a weekend rotation every 5th weekend.

Key Responsibilities :

• Perform 2D echocardiograms for adult and pediatric patients.
• Assist with transesophageal echocardiograms and pericardiocentesis on adult patients.
• Utilize advanced imaging techniques such as strain imaging and 3D imaging .
• Provide portable echo services for critical care patients, including STEMI, NSTEMI, and isolation patients as needed.
• Rotate on-call and weekend duties as per the schedule (every 5th week / weekend).

Unit Overview :

• Accreditation : IAC accredited echo lab.
• Facilities :
• 2 inpatient echo imaging rooms
• 2 Philips Affinity machines
• 1 Epic machine
• Patient Population : Critical care, STEMI / NSTEMI, and isolation patients requiring portable echo services.
• Staffing :
• 3-4 sonographers on weekdays
• 2 sonographers on weekends
• EMR System : Meditech
• Team Environment : Supportive team with regular monthly QA and IAC accreditation meetings to ensure high standards of care.

Requirements :

• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS)
• Expertise in 2D echo , strain imaging , and 3D imaging
• Experience assisting with transesophageal echocardiograms and pericardiocentesis
• Familiarity with Philips Affinity and Epic echo machines preferred
• Willingness to participate in on-call and weekend rotations
