Project Manager heavy highway construction
TheProject Manager provides direct support to project labor teams inthe heavy highway infrastructure site work and concreteconstruction industry on projects ranging from $250000 $10 million.
Planning and execution of the job includes resolving issuesmanaging resources project coordination interfacing with all levelsof project representatives regarding the projects progress andoversight of project accounting to efficiently successfully andprofitably complete assigned constructionprojects.
Responsibilitiesinclude :
- Manageoverall project performance (scope safety quality scheduleinnovation cost and customer / ownersatisfaction).
- Serveas the single pointofcontact establishing maintaining and managingcustomer / owner and subcontractor expectations regarding overallprojectperformance.
- Setupjob cost codes and budgets and code invoices with job costcodes
- Ensurethat project reporting is submitted ontime (Submittals MinorityProgressetc.)
- Prepareschedules forjobs
- Reviewsupplier and subcontractorquotes
- Ordermaterials for jobs using company s POSystem
- Attendjob meetings including preconstruction project and staffmeetings
- CreateRFIs
- Monitorquantities on completed work and prepare payestimates
- Expeditechange order work and recordinvoices
- Preparea project manual for fieldpersonnel
- Ensurethat all paperwork requirements are addressed (Certs lienssubmittals minority reports bondsetc.)
- Demonstrateappropriate people skills to facilitate smooth operation of theproject
- Conductthorough project closeouts and see that all paperwork and signoffsare completed asrequired
- Managean assistant project manager and a project engineer and ensure thatthey are advancing their skills andknowledge
Requirements
- REQUIRED : Minimum 5 years of experience successfully managing governmentalcontracts & entities (such as a DOT municipality andcounty) andor heavyhighwaycivil projects (preferred : PA WV orOH)
- Proficiencyin HCSS Word Excel and Outlook and all forms of dataentry
- Excellenttime management and organizational skills to improve overallorganizationefficiency
- Understandingof construction language materials and methods and ability tocommunicate effectively within the constructionenvironment
- Hasthe ability to train others to perform at acceptable levels Our EOECompany participates in the eVerify program and random drugtesting.
