Assistant QA Manager (ASME B31.3 - Construction - Process Piping)
Roles and Responsibilities
The Quality Assurance Representative (QAR) will work with engineers and construction contractors to ensure correct materials are installed, installation meets the appropriate Building Code, and follows the design intent per design drawings and specifications.
In addition, QAR will assure the installation follows best construction practices and quality of installation meets industry standards and expectations.
Position Requirements and Qualifications :
- 5+ years of relevant experience supporting construction and industrial environments.
- Thorough understanding of industry standards and codes.
- Strong knowledge of various methods of pipe joining and welding.
- ASME B31.3 compliant weld certifications.
- Certification in PVDF fusion processes and PVC / CPVC bonding.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of construction materials properties, use, and installation.
- Relevant systems may include : High Purity Stainless Steel Tubing Systems, General Purity Stainless Steel Piping and Tubing Systems, PVDF Piping Systems, PFA Piping Systems, Polypropylene Piping Systems, Chilled Water Systems, Boiler - Steam and Hot Glycol Water Systems, Clean Dry Air Systems, Potable and Sanitary Sewer Systems, etc.
Education :
Degree or certification in Engineering or Construction Management or experience as a Journeyman Pipefitter preferred.
