Associate Job Opportunity

The associate is responsible for completing in-store food and non-food demonstrations. Acquires and maintains knowledge of products represented. Serves, demonstrates, intercepts consumers and sells products in a professional manner. Responsible for the event execution equipment in the stores. Maintains an overall professional appearance consistent with the requirements of the job. Pay rate is $13.50.

Responsibilities include :

• Management and maintenance of the equipment and supplies used for events.
• Communicating with store management about upcoming events when the supervisor is absent.
• Being the point person for all events being conducted in the store when the supervisor is absent.
• Assisting other event specialists with event kits, materials, and tools as needed.
• Possessing the aptitude and ability to gain adequate knowledge of the products represented.
• Intercepting, engaging, interacting, and selling products to consumers in a positive manner.
• Assisting with preparation for client visits and completing audit corrections.
• Building and maintaining rapport with store personnel to meet company and client objectives.
• Completing expense reports as per company policy.
• Taking digital photos of perfect table setup to document success stories for clients.

This role is not expected to exceed more than 25 hours per week, although the company maintains the discretion to change the role based on the needs of the business and / or the client. Individuals will be expected to follow any other job-related instructions and perform any other job-related tasks as directed by management.

Qualifications include :

Physical demands include standing, walking, using hands and fingers to handle or feel, reaching with hands and arms, talking and hearing, visual ability to read instructions and perform responsibilities, stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing, balancing, lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds (including occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds), pushing and pulling a wheeled demonstration cart fully laden with appliances, supplies, and product, preparing foods using raw products, and being in contact with cleaning supplies.

Supervisory responsibilities include being the point of contact when the supervisor is absent.

Working conditions include a retail store environment with limited travel. Individuals must ensure a professional appearance and proper grooming is in order. Specific retailer dress code requirements are included in the training documents. English is the primary language skill; however, bilingual skills may be required based on business necessity.
