Position Overview :
Applied Materials is seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our team as the Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Standards / Policies Program Manager.
As the EHS Standards / Policies Lead program owner, you will be responsible for the development, implementation, and management of comprehensive environmental health and safety programs across our organization.
You will ensure compliance with applicable regulations, identify, and mitigate potential risks, and foster a culture of safety and environmental stewardship.
This position reports to the EHS Centers of Excellence Director.
Key Responsibilities :
Develop and implement corporate EHS policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure local site regulatory compliance and global EHS excellence.
Write scalable EHS Standards applicable to our global operations. Develop Guidance and implementation tools to help launch and maintain EHS standards.
Lead cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and stakeholder engagement throughout corporate standards development process.
Communicate and train EHS staff on program elements and obtain alignment of responsibilities and ownership. Collaborate with various departments to verify training requirements and assist in developing training content in line with EHS standards.
Assist in EHS Lead Auditor in Corporate compliance audits and ISO 14001 / 45001 audits. Work with EHS Lead Auditor on internal audit protocols based on EHS standards.
Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices to continuously improve and update the EHS program. Develop and maintain metrics and reporting systems to track EHS performance on EHS standards.
Assist in EHS Information Management System (Gensuite) implementation and defining internal audit protocols in EHS Information System
Qualifications :
1. Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.
2. Minimum of 8 years of experience in EHS, preferably in a corporate setting.
3. Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal EHS regulations and requirements.
4. Demonstrated experience in developing, implementing, and managing EHS programs, policies, and procedures.
5. Proven track record in conducting audits, inspections, incident investigations, and developing corrective actions.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate and influence stakeholders at all levels.
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions.
8. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
9. Professional certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) are highly desirable.
10. Proficient in using EHS software, such as Benchmark Gensuite, and other relevant tools.

U.S. Salary Range :
$132,000.00 - $181,500.00
The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members.
In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.
For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
