Overview
As a Primary Care Physician, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive patient-centered medical care. Your expertise and care will directly impact the well-being of patients and help in the prevention, diagnosis, and management of various medical conditions.
Key responsibilities
- Conducting physical examinations and patient assessments
- Diagnosing and treating illnesses and injuries
- Consulting and collaborating with specialists as needed
- Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests
- Developing and implementing treatment plans
- Providing preventive care and health education to patients
- Managing chronic conditions and coordinating care
- Documenting patient care and maintaining accurate medical records
- Collaborating with healthcare team members for comprehensive patient care
- Participating in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
Required qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree
- Board certification in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine or relevant specialty
- State medical license to practice
- Residency training in primary care specialty
- Demonstrated clinical experience in primary care settings
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong diagnostic and decision-making abilities
- Empathy and compassion towards patients
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
- Adherence to professional ethical standards and legal requirements
- Active participation in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
- Understanding of healthcare regulations and compliance
