Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education, Special Education, or a related field, active Deaf & Hard of Hearing (DHH) certification, and 1+ years Deaf & Hard of Hearing Specialist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A part-time teaching position is available for a skilled educator specializing in Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) students, serving two students in a K-12 setting. This contract role focuses on providing focused, individualized support to enhance student learning and munication within the school environment.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Deliver specialized instruction and services tailored to the needs of two Deaf / Hard of Hearing students.
  • Provide approximately 190 minutes of support weekly, distributed as 40 minutes Monday through Thursday and 30 minutes on Friday.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers and staff to ensure the students educational needs are met effectively.
  • Monitor student progress and adapt instructional strategies to promote engagement and success.
  • Maintain accurate records and municate regularly with school personnel and families.

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Certification in teaching students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing.
  • Experience working with K-12 students in educational settings.
  • Strong understanding of munication methods appropriate for Deaf / Hard of Hearing learners.
  • Excellent interpersonal and munication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
