Fire Sprinkler Designer

Greenville, SC | Direct Hire | 4-Day Work Week (Mon–Thurs, 7 : 00 AM–5 : 30 PM)

~ $25–$50 / hour DOE | Relocation Assistance Available (East of the Mississippi)

A well-established and respected fire protection contractor is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Designer to create code-compliant fire protection system layouts for commercial, industrial, and residential projects. This is a high-impact, full-time position based in Greenville, SC, with a compressed work schedule and a strong pipeline of work.This is a full-time, onsite position based in Greenville, SC.

Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates within the Eastern U.S. This is not a remote or hybrid role.

Key Responsibilities :

Design sprinkler systems using HydraCAD and AutoCAD, adhering to NFPA 13, NFPA 14, and other applicable codes

Develop detailed layout drawings, hydraulic calculations, and material takeoffs

Coordinate with architectural, structural, and MEP plans to ensure seamless design integration

Communicate with AHJs, clients, contractors, and installation teams

Assist with submittals, permitting, and approvals

Revise drawings as required throughout construction and post-installation

Stay current with code updates and industry trends

Qualifications :

~ 3+ years of experience in fire sprinkler design

Strong working knowledge of NFPA codes and fire protection design principles

Proficient in HydraCAD and AutoCAD

Ability to read and interpret technical and construction drawings

NICET Level II or higher in Water-Based Systems Layout (preferred)

Excellent organizational and communication skills

Self-motivated and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines

Must be able to pass a drug screen and 7-year background check

Position Details :

Onsite role in Greenville, SC

Monday–Thursday schedule, 7 : 00 AM–5 : 30 PM

No travel required

Business casual dress
