Project Manager
- Manages the daily activities required to ensure the successful completion of the project Primary liaison with the company's customer and their architect and engineering consultants as required
- Coordinates activities of the jobs and resolves questions and problems
- Responsible for scheduling, financial accountability, change management and overall project responsibility
- Familiar with all elements of the plans and specifications that affect operations
- Assist in the collection of costs, their proper allocation, and their proper operations
- Operate as the liaison with project inspectors
- Assist the superintendent in all aspects of the project, especially the paperwork
- Ensure that the erection plan is followed properly
- Report all material shortages immediately
- Know where and what the project's survey control points are
- Ensure the steel work is set to the proper elevation and alignment
- Familiar with bolting and welding procedures and assist the foreman and journeyman in their understanding of them
- Ensure that all special erection equipment is used in the proper fashion and at the proper time
- Check to see that all fabricator installed material is in place and correctly sized and located
Skills & Qualifications :
- Degree in construction management or engineering
- 5+ years experience as APM / PM
- Must have 1+ years experience as a PM
- Must have 2+ years experience with steel construction.
- Professional experience using Procore or other CM CRM
Work Environment :
- On-site position in South Bend, Indiana
- Managing on-site construction activities, coordinating with various stakeholders, and ensuring proper execution of the steel erection plan.
- Will be required to assist the superintendent and ensure all special erection equipment is used correctly and timely.
- This role may involve dealing with material shortages and ensuring that all fabricator-installed material is correctly places and sized.
