Job Title : Registered Nurse - Oncology
Location : Atlanta, Georgia, 30342
Shift Timings : 8 : 30am - 5pm
Job Description
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to oncology patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
- Administer chemotherapy and other oncology-related medications as prescribed.
- Monitor patients for side effects and adverse reactions; implement interventions as necessary.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Educate patients and families about cancer treatments, symptom management, and overall wellness.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
- Adhere to safety and infection control protocols.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient safety programs.
- Provide emotional support and counseling to patients and their families.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) acceptable with relevant experience.
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Georgia or compact state.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in oncology nursing or a related specialty.
Certifications
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
