Reports to : ATMP Program Manager

FLSA : Full-time Nonexempt (Hourly)

Primary Work Location : Ellington Field

Position Overview

This position will be on the ATMP (Army Training Aids, Devices, Simulators and Simulations Maintenance Program) contract for the Apache Helicopter (AD-64D)

Responsibilities / Duties

• Performs PMCS, troubleshoots and isolates faults
• Uses spare / repair parts to repair faults IAW technical guidelines
• Researches and selects repair parts needed
• Enters work order data in the on-line management information system
• Applies advanced technical knowledge to solve complex problems that typically cannot be solved solely by referencing manufacturers' manuals or similar documents
• May provide direction to, and check lower level technicians' work

Team Lead Duties :

• Assist Program Manager in scheduling work as needed.
• Leads and guides co-workers in performing a given task or assignment.
• Reports all work requirement issues / concerns to Program Manager.
• Works directly with Program Manager to identify workload decreases / increases.
• Assists with employee trainings.
• Participates in applicant interviews for recruiting processes.
• Reports safety concerns and / or incidents to Program Manager. Attends Safety inspections.
• Serves as company on-site Point of Contact (POC).
• Provides feedback to Program Manager for monthly reports.
• Provides recommendations to Program Manager for employee leave requests.
• Provides feedback to Program Manager on employee deficiencies for disciplinary action.
• Reviews time sheet entries for accuracies and notifies Program Manager if entries require corrections.

Minimum Requirements

• 5 - 7 years' experience with electronics testing / troubleshooting
• Basic computer skills
• Must be able to obtain / maintain a valid driver's license and On-Post driving privileges
• Must be able to wear appropriate personal protective equipment
• U.S. Citizen with Secret clearance (active or eligible)

Preferred skills & knowledge

• Excellent written and oral communications skills, attention to detail, strong organizational skills, computer proficiency, and the ability to work under strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of course development and education methodology for working with adult learners in a military environment
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, customer service and decision-making skills
• Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel)

Physical Demands

Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. Must have the ability to lift and carry up to 10 pounds occasionally and walk short distances.

Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and / or fingers. The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as : preparing and analyzing data and figures;

transcribing : viewing a computer monitor; extensive reading.
