Responsibilities :
Neonatal Care : Provide comprehensive care to newborns in the NICU, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute and chronic conditions.
Family-Centered Care : Collaborate with families to develop and implement individualized care plans, providing education and support throughout their NICU journey.
Procedures : Assist with and perform procedures such as intubation, ventilation, and central line placement.
Collaboration : Work collaboratively with the medical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Documentation : Maintain accurate and complete patient records.
Professional Development : Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with the latest advancements in neonatal care.
Qualifications : Required :
Required :
NNP-BC certification.
Master's Degree in Nursing with Neonatal Nurse Practitioner specialization.
Minimum one (1) year of recent Neonatal NP experience in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit or recent completion of a Neonatal ICU Fellowship.
Current and active RN and NP licenses in California.
Current national certification from an accepted certifying agency.
Active DEA license (transferable to California if out-of-state).
Current AHA BLS and NRP certifications.
Ability to obtain CMS Medicare and Medicaid enrollment through credentialing by the first clinical day.
Preferred :
Previous experience in a Level III or Level IV NICU.
Additional Requirements :
Must have a supervising physician to practice (as per state regulations).
California driver's license (CDL) if required for the position.
