Nurses care for all types of medical patients, including post-surgical patients. A wide range of opportunities include central lines, IV's, PCAs, medication administration, wound care with dressing changes, care of dialysis patients, chest tubes, NG, variety of drainage tubes, Ostomy / ileostomy care, complex comorbidity, patient education.

QualificationsLicensure / Certification / Registry : * Current RN license in the State of Illinois required.- Healthcare Provider or Instructor BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
ACLS Provider or Instructor certification required within one year of hire date.Education Requirements : * BSN preferred, but not required.
Responsibilities* Performs age appropriate assessments.* Analyzes data to identify nursing problems.* Provides direct patient care, develops individualized plan of care in partnership with patients & families.
Evaluates patient progress toward attainment of goals, revising plan of care when indicated.* Delegates patient care tasks to LPNs and unlicensed assistive personnel based on job description and patient needs.
- Appropriately supervises performance of LPNs and unlicensed assistive personnel.* Builds teamwork when supervising and delegating to others.
- Documents patient care according to policies and procedures.* Ensures appropriate implementation of physician's orders
