Job Title : Post Anesthesia Care Unit Nurse Job Specialty : Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Varied 8 / 10 hours Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours Experience : Minimum of 2 years in a large PACU environment License : Active compact license required Certifications : BLS- ACLS- PALS*(All certifications must be completed through recognized organizations such as the American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross.
Must-Have : Team player attitude- Flexibility and ability to function in a fast-paced environment- Completion of at least one 13-week travel assignment- EPIC EMR experience preferred Job Description : Adhere to a 75-mile straight line radius rule for candidate eligibility- No local travelers- All requested time off must be disclosed during submission- Include at least two professional references during submission, with one being from a current manager- Completion of skills checklist / competency assessment required- Successfully pass basic cardiac arrhythmias (BCA) testing in the first week- Shift flexibility required, including the possibility to start 30 minutes earlier based on scheduling needs- Call responsibility shared among four nurses, with 30-minute response time required- Weekend and holiday call required, with shifts potentially fluctuating to meet department needs- Travelers are the first to float within the facility and to alternate locations within 20 miles of the assigned location- Orientation in the first week, not exceeding 40 hours, including EPIC training- Facility-provided scrubs required- No holiday requested time off will be approved for travelers- Must not have been an employee of the healthcare system for 12 months from the last day worked to be considered for this positionNote : Please ensure an accurate Social Security Number and Date of Birth are entered to avoid onboarding issues.
