Position Purpose

The Level 2 EIDBI provider makes sure that the Individual Treatment Plan (ITP) is centered on creating and implementing early intervention strategies for kids and families who are dealing with neurodevelopmental disorders, complex trauma, and high-stress situations.

These strategies are aimed at youth and families from multicultural, underserved communities. The individual treatment plan (ITP) and all services provided take into consideration the person's and family's values goals, preferences, culture, and language.

Essential Functions

  • Document the services provided in the person's progress notes and / or health care plan as specified in EIDBI-Health service records.
  • Participate in developing and modifying the person's ITP
  • Participate in monitoring the person's progress on targeted goals and objectives and treatment outcomes, including data collection
  • Participate in the person's coordinated care conference, as determined by the QSP, and requested by the parent / primary caregiver
  • Perform all of the clinical supervision functions required by their professional licensing board and defined in the EIDBI Policy Manual
  • Provide family / caregiver training and counseling, as determined by the QSP and identified in the person's ITP
  • Provide intervention, observation, and direction to Level II and III providers, as determined by the QSP, and identified in the person's ITP
  • Provide intervention services, as determined necessary in the CMDE, and identified in the person's ITP, with fidelity to the treatment method or modality necessary to promote progress on targeted goals and objectives
  • Receive required clinical supervision, intervention observation and direction, as identified in the person's ITP.

Position Qualifications & Requirements

Current and active with Board licensure in Minnesota as a licensed physician, advanced practice registered nurse (APRN), or a mental health professional as defined in MS 5245.

4871. sub. 27 (1-6) which includes LP, LICSW, LMFT, or LPCC.

  • Meets MN Health Care Program certification requirements to conduct a Diagnostic Assessment (DA).
  • Currently enrolled with MHCP, possessing an individual NPI #as a Level 1 Practitioner.
  • Meets MHCP certification requirements to conduct and formulate a Comprehensive Multi-Disciplinary Evaluation (CMDE).
  • Minimum of two years of clinical supervision experience.
  • Experience working with culturally and linguistically diverse populations and staff strongly preferred.
  • Cultural competencies and linguistic skills are strongly preferred.
  • Must meet at least one of the following requirements :
  • Be a Board Certified Behavior Analyst-Doctoral (BCBA-D) or a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board, Inc. (BACB)
  • Have a master's degree from an accredited college or university in behavioral health, child development, or a related field (e.

g., mental health, special education, social work, psychology, speech pathology, occupational therapy, etc.) and advanced certification (see advanced certification section) in one of the DHS-recognized treatment modalities (see EIDBI Treatment modalities)

Services will be performed in the Twin Cities Metropolitan Area of the following seven (7) counties : Anoka, Carver, Dakota, Hennepin, Ramsey, Scott, and Washington Counties
