Job Description
GENERAL DUTIES :
- The Linux Systems Administrator support infrastructure and applications
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and report on infrastructure, data feeds, and application availability and system performance.
- Perform infrastructure and application operations and maintenance support.
- Troubleshoot server virtualization issues.
- Develop and maintaining installation and configuration procedures for new server builds and STIGs.
- Develop custom scripts to automate systems administration.
- Support change requests and problem tickets.
- Ensuring proper planning and execution of major projects / maintenance activities.
- Documenting standard operating procedures, knowledge articles, and troubleshooting tips.
Required Skills
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS :
- Bachelor’s Degree (or 4 years of additional relevant experience)
- Certification : Requires 8570 compliance (IAT Level 2) such as CompTIA Security +
- Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of hands-on Linux experience and expertise working on classified systems in both :
- CentOS / RHEL Linux Systems Administration or Systems Engineering
- Scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, Bash, or Perl) Experience with developing, securing and delivering hardware and software updates and enhancements through testing, security assessment and authorization, and production readiness reviews.
- Must demonstrate strong teamwork, organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
- Must demonstrate strong initiative to accept new technical challenges in complex system engineering assignments.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS :
- Certification and / or Experience with AWS cloud
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification(s)
- DoD or Intelligence Community service.
- Experience and relationships with DIA.
- Hands-on Experience with VDI hosting and virtualization with VMWare and / or Nutanix
- Experience supporting NiFi data flows
- Experience supporting Apache Tomcat webservices
- Experience installing, managing, and updating applications and services hosted on Linux servers.
- Experience working with cross-domain solutions
