Description
The Diabetes Services Clinical Dietitian assesses, plans, implements, documents, and evaluates the nutrition needs of patients with diabetes, gestational diabetes or reactive hypoglycemia.
The dietitian provides self-management education and nutritional counseling to patients and families in various ambulatory settings using established standards of care.
The dietitian teaches classes, develops education materials & provides nutrition information to patients, staff and the community.
The clinical dietitian participates in development of department policies and procedures, functions as a multidisciplinary team member and acts as a liaison regarding nutrition care with nursing, medical staff and other disciplines when appropriate.
The dietitian displays excellent communication skills and the ability to get along with others. Reliable work attendance is required.
Education :
Bachelor's Degree Nutrition Required
Experience :
Internship or Coordinated Dietetics Program Required
Certifications / Licensures :
RD Registered Dietitian - Commission on Dietetic Registration Required - or -
Certified Diabetes Educator - National Certification Board for Diabetes Educators Preferred
BLS Basic Life Support - American Heart Association Preferred
Skills :
Excellent communication skills and ability to work on and lead teams.

Pay Range :
$47.14 - $63.64HourlyOffer amounts are based on demonstrated / relevant experience and / or licensure.
Note : Positions at JMH which are exempt (not eligible for overtime) under the level of Manager are listed as hourly for compensation purposes on this posting.
The work shift will contain the word exempt’ on it.
