Our company is seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our fast-paced Finance team. This is a permanent position that offers an outstanding opportunity to apply your knowledge and experience in the General Ledger and other areas of accounting.
As a Senior Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in financial decision-making and operations as we continue to enhance our business profitability.
The ideal candidate will bring a blend of hands-on experience, commitment to meeting deadlines, and a deep understanding of accounting principles.
Responsibilities
1. Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
2. Maintain and manage the General Ledger, including journal entries, reconciliations, and analysis.
3. Assist with budget preparation and financial planning processes.
4. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
5. Collaborate with external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance.
6. Develop and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting process.
7. Provide financial analysis tools to evaluate company ventures or special projects, programs, capital expenditures, products costing, etc.
8. Participate in strategic data analysis, research, and modeling for senior company leadership.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior accounting or financial management role.
3. Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
4. Experience with General Ledger functions and the month-end / year-end close process.
5. Excellent accounting software user and administration skills.
6. Accuracy and attention to detail.
7. Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills.
8. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
9. Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently with minimal direction.
10. Critical thinker with the ability to analyze and solve complex problems.
11. High level of integrity, accuracy, dependability, enthusiasm, and confidentiality.
12. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation preferred.
