Under the direction of the Senior Director, Real Estate Strategy, this position will manage :
Real Estate Analysis
- Prepare and present analyses of real estate scenarios for strategic executive decisions, including intuitively and unambiguously communicating with a variety of stakeholders.
- Analyze business priorities in relation to GEICO’s real estate portfolio, including obtaining feedback from stakeholders and assessing context for real estate decisions.
- Manage real estate-related data sets, including identifying new sources of data and leveraging existing data, to inform real estate analyses.
- Develop and maintain regular reporting schedules on real estate metrics.
Real Estate Strategy
- Participate in forecasting and planning in relation to lease expirations and other business initiatives and priorities.
- Collaborate with GEICO transaction management on the execution of real estate strategy.
- Provide routine reporting and metrics on implementation of strategic real estate decisions.
- Participate in developing change management strategies.
- Manage ad hoc requests related to analysis of GEICO’s real estate portfolio.
- Make thoughtful time management decisions independently to meet deadlines, appropriately prioritize projects, and identify schedule risks early in project processes.
Process Improvement / Cross-Functional Relationship Building
- Improve internal processes to maximize productivity.
- Identify incomplete or inaccurate data, identify root causes of data issues, and identify appropriate parties for escalation of discrepancies and issues.
- Participate in management of internal playbooks.
- Build cross-functional relationships to facilitate strategic decision making in real estate and optimize execution of real estate decisions.
- Manage workflows of external brokers, consultants, and vendors in support of real estate strategy.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Business or Liberal Arts
- 7-10 years of experience in commercial real estate, business analytics, or consulting preferred
- General familiarity with the full life cycle of commercial real estate acquisitions (leases, purchases), lease administration, and dispositions (leases, subleases, sales).
- Microsoft Office Suite, expert in Excel & PowerPoint
- Strong collaboration skills, including ability to identify key partners internally and manage work with consultants and vendors
- Experience managing a portfolio of priorities and projects simultaneously
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
- Familiarity with / ability to interpret real estate transaction financial modeling
