Job Title : MIG Welder

Job Description

We are seeking skilled MIG Welders for our 1st shift openings, scheduled Monday through Friday from 6 : 00 AM to 2 : 30 PM. This role requires candidates with approximately 5 years of hands-on welding experience. Candidates will be responsible for MIG welding, fabrication, and finishing on steel storage and shipping containers. These containers are fabricated and repaired on-site, moving through production on an automated conveyor system.

Responsibilities

• Perform stitch welds and full welds on components and assemblies using the GMAW process.
• Utilize oxy / acetylene and plasma cutters as needed.
• Read and interpret tape measures and basic blueprints.
• Use basic hand tools and grinders when necessary.
• Lay out and measure dimensions and reference lines on materials using calculators, scribes, dividers, squares, and rulers.
• Drill and punch holes in metal for screws, bolts, and rivets.
• Fasten seams and joints with welds, bolts, cement, and other methods.
• Fabricate or alter parts at construction sites using shears, hammers, punches, and drills.
• Trim, file, grind, deburr, buff, and smooth surfaces of assembled parts.
• Weld components in various positions including flat, vertical, or overhead.
• Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment.
• Monitor the welding process to prevent material damage.
• Set up and operate hand and power tools common to the welding trade.
• Lay out, position, align, and secure parts and assemblies using straightedges and other measuring tools.

Work Environment

Work is performed in a production welding environment during the 1st shift, from 6 : 00 AM to 2 : 30 PM, Monday through Friday.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cinnaminson, New Jersey.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00 / hr.
