Job Description :
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department.
- Manage patient treatment plans and handle emergency situations with efficiency and expertise.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Monitor patients' health conditions and report changes to physicians and relevant staff.
- Document patient care and treatment accurately using the Meditech EHR system.
- Treat a wide range of conditions including respiratory distress, overdose, CHF, dialysis, and HTN.
- Work on a variable shift schedule with a requirement for every other weekend.
- Maintain a positive attitude and exhibit strong team collaboration skills.
- Deliver care to a diverse patient population, including geriatric, adult, and pediatric patients.
- Ensure adherence to all hospital policies, procedures, and regulations.
Additional Information :
- This position requires a flexible patient ratio of 1 : 4-5, depending on acuity.
- Engage in frequent orientation, with sessions held bi-weekly.
- Dress in scrub attire, with any color acceptable, ensuring professional appearance at all times.
Please note this position is to replace a permanent staff member. The facility has 294 beds and is accredited by the Joint Commission.
The emergency department is equipped with GE monitors and standard ED equipment.
