- Traveler must have IN / Compact license in hand or have submitted their fingerprint application package for their license.
- Unit travelers may need to float and will be provided with resources if needed.
Job Details
Effective 11 / 30 / 24, IU Health will not allow IN RN’s to work at their facilities (SEE EXCEPTIONS BELOW). The last day for IN RNs to start a NEW contract is 9 / 9 (allows them to finish a contract by 11 / 30).
Periop / OR RN’s, Allied and Ambulatory RN travelers are exempt from this rule. These IN travelers are allowed to work past the 11 / 30 deadline.
Periop includes ENDO, IR RN, PACU, Cath Lab RN, SDS
- IU Health is now offering charge pay, which is a bill rate bump per hour
- Must be flexible with weekend requirements. Weekend requirement will be based on unit needs. Travelers must be able to work 50% of the weekends in their contract.
- IU Health University and Methodist are teaching facilities and require all travel nurses to agree to the possibility of precepting and / or being assigned students to shadow them while on assignment.

- Call-Ins : If a traveler calls in for a contracted shift, the traveler is expected to make up the day during the pay period, or the shift will be added at the end of the traveler contract
- Charge coverage : Pending operational needs, unit charge nurse responsibilities may be needed with provided training and resources.
- Floating Requirements : Unit travelers may be expected to float to different levels of care (Med-Surg, PCU, ICU) with resources provided if needed at both University and Methodist Hospitals
- Staffing Ratios : Dayshift from 1 : 5-6
Schedule Information

- Call-Ins : Required actions based on contracted FTE and inability to make up shifts within the pay period.
