About The Position
Job Title : Surgical Technologist Job Specialty : Surgical Services Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 10-hour days Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours per week Experience : Minimum of 3 years License : Required Certifications : Certified Surgical Technologist (CST), BLS Must-Have : - Strong orthopedic background- Some SPD and HLD experience- Preferably previous travel experience Job Description : Work in a unit with 4 operating suites and 1 endoscopy suite- Handle an average of 8 cases per day- Participate in a variety of surgical cases, including ortho, general, gynecology, and c-sections- Assist in cleaning and turnover of operating rooms - Support endoscopy procedures and have experience with sterilization processes- Operate equipment and chart using Epic Systems Corporation - EpicCare Inpatient- Wear provided blue scrubs in compliance with the surgical services attire policy- Complete unit-specific orientation with a preceptor- Meet call requirements, including weeknight and weekend coverage, ensuring 30-minute response time while on call- Follow a schedule of typically Monday-Friday, 7 : 00 AM to 3 : 30 PM, with adjustments as needed Additional Notes : Travelers will be paired with a preceptor for orientation, and unit norms and system values will be reviewed.
