Compensation :
- Evenings : $3.50
- Nights : $4.25
- Weekends : $4.00 (if they get weekend shift diff then they do not get night shift diff)
- Pay Rate : $60 + above shift differentials
- Sign-on Bonus : $10,000 at conversion
- Relocation : $3,000 at conversion
Shifts Available :
- Thursday, Friday, Saturday (7 : 00PM to 7 : 00AM)
- Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday (2 : 30PM to 3 : 00AM)
- Saturday, Sunday, Monday (7 : 00PM to 7 : 00AM)
Start Date : ASAP
Interview Process : One and done onsite or virtual interview
Job Description :
Wellstar Health System is seeking skilled CT Technologists to join our team at Wellstar Douglas. Under the direction of a Radiologist and Supervisor, you will perform CT procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision.
This role involves a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative to apply ionizing radiation for CT diagnosis.
The scope of care includes age groups ranging from newborn to elderly.
Responsibilities :
- Clean, disinfect, and maintain equipment in accordance with infection control policy and department cleaning schedule.
- Obtain complete clinical history, gather examination data, and assess for contraindicating conditions.
- Review CT / radiographic images for clinically acceptable results and release patients.
- Respond to emergency situations and restock the crash cart and maintain life support equipment.
- Verify correct identity of patient using 2 unique identifiers prior to performing a procedure per hospital policy and procedure.
- Maintain competency with venipuncture.
- Patiently and clearly explain the purpose and nature of the exam to patients prior to starting the procedure, to minimize anxiety and facilitate cooperation using AIDET (Acknowledge, Introduce, Discuss, Explain, and Thank you).
- Restock linens and supplies and maintain the department in clean and orderly condition.
- Transport patients, position patients, and help them on and off the procedure table.
- Perform patient charging activities on the day the service is rendered.
- Operate all workstations associated with the CT department.
- Push / retrieve images from the CT console to PACS.
- Maintain Joint Commission standards and any other regulatory agency standards.
