POSITION OVERVIEW :

The Demand Planning Specialist is responsible for maintaining proper product inventory levels as forecasted by the Sales team.

The focus of this role is to maximize the cost efficiency of the product inventory and supply chain by managing supplier orders and shipments into the appropriate distribution center or customer designated pickup locations.

This position reports to the Demand Planning Manager.

Location : Weston, FL.

Salary : $55,000 - $60,000 yearly.

Schedule : Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM.

Candidates must be able to pass a drug test and background check.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Monitor inventory levels of products / service parts and place orders with suppliers, taking into consideration the lead time of the supply chain.
• Working with the Service teams across all divisions to monitor inventory levels and place orders for all service parts.
• Keep the product / service part inventory levels high enough to support customer sales while minimizing the cost of excess inventory.
• Creating and communicating Purchase Orders to multiple suppliers using the ERP
• Communicating shipping instructions to suppliers
• Work with suppliers to expedite factory production as needed.
• Understanding the life cycle of all open Purchase Orders (status, arrival date, etc.)
• Highlighting supplier and logistical issues to the proper teams to address
• Facilitate inter-branch and inter-company transfers as needed for the ERP and balance of product / service part inventory between distribution centers.
• Successfully communicate progress toward KPI metrics
• Contribute toward cross-functional efforts to increase efficiency of supply chain, order management and fulfillment.
• Work cross-functionally with Sales Administration and Logistics to link Direct Import customer sales orders to supplier purchase orders and monitor these orders for any issues.
• Work cross-functionally with Finance, Sourcing and Distribution on any product receipt or invoicing issues
• Understand the full supply chain process from forecast until fulfillment of product / service part into distribution center and modify the process continuously to improve efficiency.
• Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS :

• Must be a self-starter that can independently work to meet set deliverables and KPIs.
• Broad knowledge of supply logistics
• Highly intelligent with the ability to understand complex problems and provide logical solutions.
• Strong time management and prioritization skills needed to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational, planning, and project management skills
• Strong and demonstrated analytical skills with attention to accuracy and details.
• Strong ability to identify problems, brainstorm, analyze answers, and implement the best solutions.
• Proficient with MS Office applications
