The ideal candidate is an experienced data professional comfortable in inventing and simplifying. You are analytical and possess a deep knowledge for working with data, business intelligence solutions and developing insights.

You empower data driven decision through implementing principles of data mining, data modeling to define and measure metrics for evaluating and diving deep on the health of the business.

You are comfortable working with Data Engineering teams to drive business insights and develop data modeling across a wide range of business and programs.

You are able to develop a strategy and vision for your space, communicate your view effectively with the leadership and business stakeholders.

This role requires excellent business acumen and communication skills as well as the ability to effectively partner with business customers to empower them with the business insights.Key job responsibilities

  • Create a vision and roadmap for analytics in our Fashion and Fitness Supply Chain including data infrastructure, automation, analytical tools to help retail business teams drive insights and revamp analytical capabilities to power retail tools.
  • Closely work with Data Engineering to develop statistical modeling to serve business needs.
  • Build strong partnership with business customers and earn their trust by obsessing over their business use cases, data needs, and helping them solve problems with technology.
  • Establish best practices including quality assurance, automation, code reviews, quality checks, and data alarms.
  • Create a culture of continuous improvement through automation, self-service analytics, and reporting.
  • Lead complex data analysis in new uncharted areas to gain insights into performance.
  • Write or review code / queries, establish data pipelines, or create data visualizations for our stakeholders.About the teamAmazon Fashion & Fitness drives multiple core and advance science initiatives.

We are hiring a Business Intelligence Engineer (BIE) to help us accelerate our efforts in improving Amazon Fashion & Fitness.

This person will build new business intelligence solutions end-to-end. The ideal candidate will be passionate about working with big data sets and have the expertise to utilize these data sets to derive insights, answer business questions and drive growth.

Basic Qualifications- Knowledge of data warehousing and data modeling- Experience with operations / supply chain- Experience working directly with business stakeholders to translate between data and business needs- Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools- Experience with SQL- Experience in scripting for automation (e.

g. Python) and advanced SQL skills.- Experience building measures and metrics, and developing reporting solutionsPreferred Qualifications- Experience with statistical analytics and programming languages such as R, Python, Ruby, etc.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $117,300 / year in our lowest geographic market up to $202,800 / year in our highest geographic market.

Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and / or other benefits.
