Overview of Role
The New York office focuses on Mergers & Acquisitions, Restructuring and Debt and Equity Capital Markets advisory work across a number of industries.
It plays a critical role in helping the firm achieve its objective to be the most successful independent advisory investment bank in the world.
Given the global nature of our firm and broad reach of our M&A practice, this role will involve working collaboratively with colleagues in the North American industry coverage teams and other colleagues globally on international / cross-border projects.
Responsibilities
- Work on multiple transactions and with multiple project teams simultaneously on all critical aspects of transactions, ranging from client development and initial opportunity evaluation to transaction strategy and execution
- Lead teams in the preparation of financial and economic analyses and computer models required for evaluating and completing such transactions, as well as client presentations, information memoranda and offering documents
- Experienced banker and rising leader who seeks to identify new business opportunities for Rothschild Global Advisory and new ideas for our clients that advance their strategic objectives
- Assist in the marketing of our services and capabilities with other members of Rothschild, both within and outside the United States
Education and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree
- MBA or equivalent graduate degree in Finance with prior experience, preferred
Experience, Skills and Competencies Required
- Prior experience of the above-referenced work in an investment banking role
- Quantitative and analytical skills to develop financial models and value businesses; deep understanding of financial statement analysis
- Experience with client presentations, managing projects and the execution of transactions
- Knowledge of the relevant financial and regulatory environments
- Ability to build trusted client relationships and be a primary contact person to add value to the client
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and move quickly from one priority to another
- Ability to build a strong working environment within the team, across business lines and different geographies
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
