The VP of Operations for Delivery Solutions is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing and optimizing the entire operational lifecycle of our delivery solutions.

This role ensures seamless coordination across various functions, including presales service, post-sale implementation, ongoing customer service and spare part support, and manufacturing management of the solutions we build.

With a 5-year time horizon, the VP of Operations will develop and execute strategies that drive operational excellence, customer satisfaction & loyalty, and long-term business growth.

The VP of Operations has ownership of Rehrig’s Delivery Solutions Service and Spare Parts P&L.

Areas of Accountabilities

  • Serve the Sales Team : provide front-end technical expertise, own and run product demonstrations, manage trials, and conduct site surveys to advance the sales process.
  • Advise the Sales Team : Build and continuously improve tools for training and equipping the sales team to effectively showcase the value proposition of our solutions.
  • Develop & prescribe pre-sales service strategies : Create and implement pre-sales service strategies that align with overall business objectives and drive higher conversion rates.
  • Lead the end-to-end implementation process for sold solutions, including go-live support, installation, start-up and integration into the customer's operations.
  • Lead change management efforts to ensure smooth transitions for customers as they adopt our solutions minimizing disruption and maximizing value.
  • Establish best practices for project management, ensuring that implementations are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.

Ongoing Service and Spare Parts Management

  • Manage the ongoing service and maintenance of sold solutions, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and operational uptime.
  • Build and lead a spare parts inventory and logistics program to ensure timely availability and delivery, minimizing downtime for customers.
  • Develop and execute service strategies that focus on proactive maintenance, customer retention, and long-term support.
  • Advise Sales and deliver the necessary training and support to effectively sell service offerings as part of sale.

Manufacturing Management

  • Lead the manufacturing operations for solutions we build in-house, ensuring production meets quality standards, timelines, and cost targets.
  • Advise the product development team to align manufacturing capabilities with product design and innovation goals.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize manufacturing processes, increase efficiency, and reduce waste.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

  • 10+ years of experience in operations management, preferably within a technology or manufacturing-focused environment.
  • Proven track record of leading large-scale operations teams and driving cross-functional collaboration.
  • Experience in pre-sales support, post-sale implementation, customer service, and manufacturing management.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and execute long-term operational plans.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong project management skills, with a history of successfully delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
  • Experience with change management and driving organizational transformation.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; an advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) is preferred.
  • Ability to travel as needed to meet with customers, partners, and internal teams.
