Position Summary
The Quality Engineer works with engineering, manufacturing, and product management to provide professional quality guidance to assess, correct, and maintain the product quality.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Collaborate with customers to complete source inspections
- INCR / NCR investigation
- Complete analysis on incoming products and approve all product receipts
- Inspect and test materials, equipment, processes, and products to ensure quality specifications are met
- First line escalation for problem parts
- Create bubble prints for new jobs
- Compile inspection reports per operation
- Create gage box requirements including specification and ordering of gages
- Identify customer flow down requirements
- Review and compare quality plans
- Collaborate with operation managers to develop and improve process controls
- Develop corrective actions, solutions, and improvements
Qualification Requirements :
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred
- Extensive experience in a quality assurance environment required typically 5 years of more
- High proficiency in computer technology and systems operations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills coupled with an attention to detail
- GD&T background required
- Previous manufacturing experience preferred, especially in machining
