About The Position
Job Title : Speech Language Pathologist Job Specialty : Speech Language Pathologist Job Duration : 26 weeks Shift : Day - 5x8 - 08 : 00 AM - 04 : 00 PM - 40 Hours per week Guaranteed Hours : 0 Experience : Acute care hospital and ICU experience License : NYS SLP license Certifications : - Certification in Speech-Language Pathology by the American Speech and Hearing Association- BLS certification Must-Have : - A Master's in Speech-Language Pathology Job Description : Provide patient care in speech-language pathology, focusing on dysphagia, speech, and cognitive assessment and treatment.
- Conduct treatments in medical units and Intensive Care Units (ICU).- Assist with provocative testing, such as Modified Barium Swallow (MBS) and Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES), as needed.
- Engage in patient care five days a week, including weekends.- Participate in a comprehensive orientation program totaling 59.50 hours.
