About Us : At Optimum Wound Care(OWC), we are dedicated to providing outstanding care and support to our patients. We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Wound Care Nurse (LPN or RN) to join our team.
Our goal is to deliver exceptional wound care and enhance the overall well-being of those we serve.
Position Overview : As a Wound Care Nurse at OWC, you will be responsible for providing high-quality wound care for patients with various types of wounds.
You will work under the supervision of physicians / Nurse Practitioners to deliver effective wound management and contribute to the development of individualized care plans.
Key Responsibilities :
- Perform wound assessments, including evaluating wound size, depth, and appearance.
- Assist in the development and implementation of wound care plans under the guidance of providers.
- Provide direct wound care treatments, including dressing changes,Compression wraps, and application of topical treatments.
- Educate patients and their families about wound care procedures, infection prevention, and home care techniques.
- Monitor and document patient progress, response to treatments, and any signs of complications.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure effective communication and continuity of care.
- Maintain a clean and sterile environment, following infection control protocols and safety standards.
Qualifications :
- Valid RN / LPN license in KY.
- Experience in wound care required(at least one year)
- Basic knowledge of wound care management and treatment protocols.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide patient education effectively.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) and documentation.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
