Registered Nurse (RN) - Oncology Clinic - North
Job Description
Saint Luke's Hospital of Kansas City is hiring for an Oncology Clinic Nurse for their outpatient Oncology and Hematology Clinic.
This position is part of a rapidly growing program and will assist with care coordination, research studies, provide patient and family education, scheduling, triage, assist with procedures, and collaborate with a multi-disciplinary innovative care team committed to improving patient outcomes.
This is a high volume fast-paced Magnet designated clinic. This clinic is INCP and QOPI Certified.
HOURS : Monday - Friday 8 AM to 4 : 30 PM.
May be asked to float to other locations : Overland Park, Liberty, Lees Summit

Responsibilities
- Phone Triage
- Schedules emergent-need appointments.
- Patient follow-up calls.
- Patient education on particular procedures and processes.
- Subject matter expert in respective specialty for hospital RNs in the units.
- Regularly meets with other disciplines to share best practices on care treatments.
- Care for patients with a long-term treatment process.
- Collaborate on a care team and provide face-to-face patient care
- Maintain ONS Chemotherapy / Biotherapy Certification
