A law firm in Saint Louis, MO, is seeking an Associate Attorney with 3-7 years of experience in business litigation, complex commercial litigation, real estate litigation, general civil litigation, condemnation, and / or trusts and estates litigation.
The ideal candidate should demonstrate the ability to manage multiple projects independently, provide practical client counseling, and possess critical thinking, drafting, and problem-solving skills.
Strong academic credentials, a willingness to accept responsibility, and a commitment to client service and professional excellence are essential.
Duties :
- Handle a caseload involving various types of litigation matters, including business, commercial, real estate, civil, condemnation, and trusts and estates.
- Conduct legal research and draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, briefs, and memoranda.
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and courts.
- Participate in case strategy development and implementation.
- Attend court hearings, depositions, and mediations as required.
- Collaborate with partners, associates, and support staff on case management and strategy.
Requirements :
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the State Bar of Missouri or eligibility for admission by motion.
- 3-7 years of relevant experience in litigation, preferably in a law firm setting.
- Proven experience in business litigation, complex commercial litigation, real estate litigation, general civil litigation, condemnation, and / or trusts and estates litigation.
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects independently and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct.
Education :
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
Certifications :
Admission to the State Bar of Missouri or eligibility for admission by motion.
