About The Position
Job Title : Cath Lab Technician Job Specialty : Radiology / Cardiology Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Day 3x12-Hour (06 : 30 - 19 : 00) Guaranteed Hours : Client may call off up to 36 hours per thirteen-week assignment without compensation for those hours.
Experience : Minimum 1 year of experience required License : Active license required; no pending licenses accepted. Certifications : ACLS, BLS, ARRT, RCIS Must-Have : - Experience in Diagnostic Cardiac Cath Lab and Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab - Skills in Cardiac Implant Closure Device, Cardiac Stent Placement, Diagnostic Catheterizations (Adult), IABP Placement / Removal, Interpretation of Dysrhythmias, Left Heart Catheterization, Percutaneous Coronary Interventions (PCI), Percutaneous Transluminal Coronary Angioplasty (PTCA), Right Heart Catheterization, Rotablader Atherectomy, Scrub Procedures- Equipment setup and recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias- Familiarity with Isolation Precautions and Sterile Technique- Competency with Middle and Older Adult patient groups- Experience with Cerner charting system Job Description : - Open to first-time applicants- Weekend shifts required : Work 2-3 weekends per contract- On-call duties are required as needed- Not required to float to different units- Block schedule requests to be discussed with the manager- Local candidates accepted- RTO ideally no more than 5 days- Floating required for all travelers within the hospital or nearby affiliate hospitals- Cerner proficiency necessary;
modules to be completed virtually on the first day by EOD and annually thereafter Special Requirements : - Hospital is an Acute Care facility and Level I trauma center - This position is within a magnet hospital / facility - Orientation consists of 16 non-billable hours
