Salary : $40-50,000
Training position for candidate to become member of a professional team managing the day to day functions of various types of retirement plans.
Position Duties
Participate in the daily duties of the team and develop the skill set required to ensure advancement within the group.
Required Education
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, or finance. Some work experience preferred. Intermediate level experience with Excel.
Responsibilities include :
- Training with multiple functional areas contributing to the successful management of client accounts
- Participating in various team functions to develop hands-on knowledge of activities performed for clients
- Preparing materials for client meetings and discussions
- Assisting with enrollment and training of clients in the operation of plan tools and systems
- Developing skills required to assist in presentations to client staff
- Training in specific processes and procedures to support client plans including use of proprietary software and other daily-use programs
- Studying materials and engaging in active learning to achieve industry certifications demonstrating expertise in retirement plan administration
- Develop working knowledge of accounting requirements, cybersecurity protocols, and similar technical skills relating to security of data.

- Understanding of financial concepts, including mutual funds, interest rates and investment topics
- Ability to focus on details of documentation, financial reports, and legal agreements as these topics apply to internal procedures
- Ability to manage daily tasks to ensure focus on priorities
Work Environment
Trainees become part of a team performing essential duties and customer service. This position may require some travel to attend client meetings or attend conferences.
Teams typically work 40 hours per week, but overtime may be required during busy periods or to meet deadlines. This position can be stressful at times, but experienced team members find it to be rewarding and satisfying.
Due to changes in the regulatory environment, teams participate in numerous training sessions throughout the year and are expected to retain a current working knowledge of applicable rules and regulations.
