Description : Chronicle Books seeks a highly motivated salesperson with proven sales experience, a record of accomplishment, and the ability to open new business.
For both existing and new business, this position will handle all aspects of account management and the Salesperson will be expected to meet or exceed sales targets while managing the business in a profitable way.

The person in this role will create and share merchandising ideas, work with all divisions of applicable accounts, provide regular CRM updates regarding account management, track monthly goals / forecasts, and actively curate both front-list and backlist titles.
Regular account business reviews, prospecting for new accounts, delivering seasonal title forecasts, and sharing competitive information will all be central to this job.
They will also represent Chronicle Books at various trade shows or other events as needed. Please note that this job description is not designed to cover all activities required of the employee.
Requirements : Applicants will need 3+ years of account management experience in the book or gift industry, show demonstrated success in managing and growing national account business, and have proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, and Salesforce.
Employees at Chronicle Books follow a flexible hybrid schedule of working a minimum of 3 days per week (Tuesday-Thursday) in our San Francisco office, depending on project and business needs.
Hiring Salary Range : $68,000-78,200. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the expected salary for this position and will be determined by factors including but not limited to an applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, and geographic location as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
This position is also eligible for our profit share plan.
