Job Description The Cypress College Health Information Technology (HIT) program is looking for an experienced, flexible, engaging individual with an RHIT or RHIA to join our staff as an Adjunct faculty member.
We are a hybrid program with both day and evening on-campus courses and online opportunities.
- Ability to work days and / or evenings in a hybrid program.
- Some classes will be taught on campus and online.
- Full online schedules available.
Minimum Qualifications Any Bachelor’s degree or higher AND two (2) years of professional experience directly related to the teaching assignment
Any Associate degree AND six (6) years of professional experience directly related to the teaching assignment
the equivalent. Equivalent qualifications may include related education, training, employment and professional experience that would be equal to the required degree(s) and experience in this field as determined by the District Equivalency Committee.
Current Certification as a Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) or Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT).

Desirable Qualifications Knowledge of legal aspects, statistics, technology, pharmacology, revenue cycle management, ICD-10 and CPT coding.
Experience with distance education and Canvas learning module a plus.
