Job Summary :

Housekeeping House Attendants are responsible for promptly responding to requests from guests, assisting Room Attendants and stocking linen closets at The Betsy .

House Attendant performs any combination of the following tasks to maintain guestrooms, working areas, and The Betsy premises in a clean and orderly manner.

Responsibilities and Duties Include but Not Limited to the Following :

• Collects, sorts and weighs soiled linen for laundering.
• Delivers clean linen to linen closets throughout The Betsy property ensuring correct par stock of linen per standard.
• Refills the par stock of guest amenities, bulk shampoo / conditioner and cleaning supplies on each floor pantry. Responsible to maintain inventory in the Housekeeping closets.
• Removes trash collected by room attendants.
• Delivers towels, cribs, cots and other items to the guest rooms on requests.
• Walks all assigned floors frequently during the work shift to collect newspaper bags, newspapers, trash, soiled linen, etc..
• Cleans rugs, carpets and upholstered furniture using a vacuum cleaner, broom and carpet shampoo machine.
• Sweeps, mops, scrubs and polishes the floors.
• Removes soiled linen and trash from the pool side and other service areas and takes it to an appropriate location in the prescribed manner.
• Washes walls and ceilings. Moves furniture when needed and turns mattresses upon Supervisors’ request.
• Completes any tasks assigned by the Supervisors as and when needed.
• Perform duties of Room Attendant when necessary.
• Always responds in a friendly, helpful manner to guests and other colleagues.
• Ensures adherence to quality expectations and The Betsy operational standards.

Job Requirements :

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Some experience in housekeeping or custodial services preferred.
• Must have the ability to :
• Speak, read, write and understand basic English. Spanish desirable;
• Stand and walk for extended periods of time;
• Lift, push, pull and handle up to 50lbs of weight;
• Use smart devices and guest service management application;
• Work independently;
• Multi-task;
• Follow detailed instructions.
• Must be :
• Detail-oriented;
• Extremely trust-worthy;
• Professional and friendly;
• Efficient and organized.
