Our Ambulatory Surgery Unit is seeking a full-time Clinical Nurse IV to provide preop care and recovery support for ambulatory procedures.
We operate under a team-based approach and have evening shifts available from 1pm to 9 : 30pm.
Key Responsibilities :
- Implement physician orders, administer medications, start IVs, perform treatments and procedures, and document treatment
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests
- Assess patient needs and care responses
- Provide primary and emergency care for injuries and illnesses
- Administer medications and participate in patient / family teaching
- Collaborate with the nursing team to create a Plan of Care for patients
- Provide guidance to ancillary personnel and maintain professional nursing standards
Minimum Qualifications :
- Graduate of a professional nursing program
- Current NYS Registered Nurse license
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Strong communication, prioritization, organizational, and time-management skills
- Knowledge of quality concepts and principles
