This advertisement is for a Career Service position located at the Community Corrections Regional Director’s Office in West Palm Beach, Florida.

Salary Range : $51,286.04 - $56,984.72

SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :

This is an administrative position responsible for directing the Region’s real property lease management program as well as coordinates, as needed, records retention and disposal activities, surplus property, fleet reporting and other administrative duties.

Specific duties include the following :

  • Coordinates the Region’s real property lease management program.
  • Completes quarterly site evaluation inspections on all real property leases in the region and follows up with Lessor to assure deficiencies have been addressed.
  • Prepares correspondence to Lessor on leasing issues and deficiencies.
  • Provides recommendations to Central Office Leasing staff on leasing issues and actions.
  • Works with Central Office Leasing agent to determine and develop space needs.
  • Handles all local problems associated with real property leases (janitorial, maintenance, etc.) in coordination with field personnel.
  • Provides advice to Regional Director and staff on space planning, space need a build-out projects for leased space.
  • Coordinates the relocation of staff one build-out / renovations are complete.
  • In coordination with the regional staff, assists Community Corrections staff, as needed, with other administrative duties.

  • Recently Retired? Beginning July 1, 2024, there is no longer a reemployment limitation; beginning with the 7th calendar month from the member's distribution date, there are no restrictions on working for an FRS employer.

You will not be required to repay any prior distributions, and you may continue receiving distributions from the Investment Plan or Pension Plan without interruption.

Can you rejoin the FRS after becoming a pension plan retiree? No. Once you are considered a Pension Plan retiree, including DROP, you cannot renew your membership in the FRS, no matter when you return to employment with an FRS employer.

This means you will not be eligible to earn any additional benefits under an FRS plan.

Can you join the investment plan again after you have retired from the FRS? Yes. If you return to FRS-covered employment after taking an Investment Plan distribution (effective for reemployed service on or after July 1, 2017), you are considered a reemployed retiree or renewed member.

As an Investment Plan renewed member, you are required to participate in the FRS Investment Plan. Renewed members are not eligible to participate in the Pension Plan or DROP, receive disability benefits, or use the 2nd Election to switch to the Pension Plan. .

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS :

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One year of professional experience in the field of leasing
  • Direct work experience researching and securing leases for a business, enterprise, agency, or other entity not specific to one’s own personal residential lease
  • Availibility and willingness to travel up to three hours away from the primary work location to conduct site visits as needed.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Experience with leasing for government agencies
  • Experience coordinating office relocations
