Responsible for firm’s accounting environment to ensure appropriate accounting policy and procedure to maintain adherence to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and regulatory compliance.

Reports to : Controller

Responsibilities :

• Maintain appropriate internal control procedures to best ensure reporting accuracy and compliance adherence.
• Participate / lead internal audit activities.
• Timely, accurate, and complete financial statement preparation.
• Reconciliation of monthly interim and year-end balance sheet accounts.
• Completion and / or review of daily cash reconciliation.
• Analyze and effectively communicate firm operating performance to pertinent stakeholders both internal and external.
• Participate / lead firm budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Firmwide consolidated budgeting.
• Studio-level budgeting and forecasting.
• Maintenance / adherence to firm benefit requirements.
• Support reporting requirements.
• Working knowledge of various plan document requirements.
• Primary support in preparation and execution of annual financial audit, tax work, ESOP valuation, and other interim tax filings, as necessary.
• Ability to effectively provide / support project level cost analysis, forecasting, and management.
• All other duties as assigned.

Requirements :

• Bachelor’s degree with accounting concentration.
• 5+ years of accounting experience.
• Possess strong working knowledge of generally accepted accounting and cost accounting principles.
• Demonstrated strong competence in utilizing various accounting and / or project management software.
• Proficient in the use of MS Office suite.
• Ability to learn new programs.
• Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
• Must be organized, with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
• Ability to communicate effectively, timely, and professionally.

Preferred :

A / E / C industry experience.
