Responsible for firm’s accounting environment to ensure appropriate accounting policy and procedure to maintain adherence to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and regulatory compliance.

Reports to : Controller
Responsibilities :
- Maintain appropriate internal control procedures to best ensure reporting accuracy and compliance adherence.
- Participate / lead internal audit activities.
- Timely, accurate, and complete financial statement preparation.
- Reconciliation of monthly interim and year-end balance sheet accounts.
- Completion and / or review of daily cash reconciliation.
- Analyze and effectively communicate firm operating performance to pertinent stakeholders both internal and external.
- Participate / lead firm budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Firmwide consolidated budgeting.
- Studio-level budgeting and forecasting.
- Maintenance / adherence to firm benefit requirements.
- Support reporting requirements.
- Working knowledge of various plan document requirements.
- Primary support in preparation and execution of annual financial audit, tax work, ESOP valuation, and other interim tax filings, as necessary.
- Ability to effectively provide / support project level cost analysis, forecasting, and management.
- All other duties as assigned.
Requirements :
- Bachelor’s degree with accounting concentration.
- 5+ years of accounting experience.
- Possess strong working knowledge of generally accepted accounting and cost accounting principles.
- Demonstrated strong competence in utilizing various accounting and / or project management software.
- Proficient in the use of MS Office suite.
- Ability to learn new programs.
- Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
- Must be organized, with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
- Ability to communicate effectively, timely, and professionally.
Preferred :
A / E / C industry experience.
