Join NS2 Mission as a Data Scientist , where you'll play a crucial role in unlocking the power of data to drive informed decision-making and shape the future of our analytics initiatives.

You will be supporting the team in Virginia Beach, VA .

Required Skills and Experience :

• Ability to code in Python and leverage a variety of data analysis packages to include Pandas and / or Polars.
• Experience working with distributed computing frameworks like Spark, data engineering technologies like Airflow, and a broad familiarity with contemporary database options.
• Experience visualizing results from Exploratory Data Analysis and presenting findings to a customer.
• Experience working with a software development team, software engineering best practices, and applying the results from a data science project to lightweight applications.
• Experience developing machine learning models from inception and design, training, and testing, and through deployment.
• Extensive knowledge of appropriate analytic methods and methodological tools in one or more of the following areas :
• Applied Mathematics (e.g., probability and statistics, formal modeling, computational social sciences)
• Computer Programming (e.g., programming languages, math / statistics packages, computer science, machine learning, scientific computing)
• Visualization (e.g., GIS / geospatial analysis, telemetry analysis)

Desired Skills and Experience :

• Bachelor’s degree in data science, Data Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience
• On-the-job experience exhibiting communication skills, both oral and written, as well as making presentations to small audiences
• Experience with Python
• Experience with network architecture
• Experience with risk assessments, methodologies, and scoring
• Experience working independently
