Full job description

We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join our engineering and manufacturing team. This hands-on role involves creating CNC programs, designing fixtures and tooling, and supporting machining operations to ensure efficient production of high-quality components. The ideal candidate will have strong CAD / CAM experience, machining knowledge, and the ability to collaborate across departments to support production goals.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Develop CNC programs, drawings, and workbooks using 3D CAD / CAM software (SolidWorks, SolidCAM, etc.)
  • Manage CNC work orders, material requirements, and fixture design
  • Edit CNC programs and perform first-piece setups on CNC machines
  • Troubleshoot CNC programming, tooling, or setup issues to support production efficiency
  • Collaborate with manufacturing and quality teams for new job approvals
  • Assist CNC machinists with job operation, setup, or inspection support as needed
  • Support tool crib with tooling and fixture setup requirements
  • Maintain a strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement

Qualifications :

  • Advanced shop math skills and strong understanding of machining principles
  • Proficiency in precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, dial indicators)
  • Experience with SolidWorks, SolidCAM, and Microsoft Office software
  • Ability to design and / or select specialty production cutting tools and fixtures
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Excellent communication skills, teamwork, and attention to detail
