Job Description

We are seeking a computational biologist with an innovative mindset, keen attention to detail, and the ability to work as part of a team to solve problems in preclinical research and development.

The position will entail collaborating with scientists to design experiments, develop tools, analyze large / complex datasets, and leverage our growing body of knowledge to advance the identification and optimization of therapeutic leads.

Key Responsibilities

  • Derive and interpret results from internally and externally sourced sequencing data.
  • Design and synthesize diverse feature sets to model molecular properties in silico and accelerate identification of promising therapeutic candidates.
  • Support data-driven decision-making and assist with the development of efficient analysis pipelines.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation of work and code.
  • Foster growth of colleagues and the company by helping bridge the gap between computation and biology.
  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies and methodologies in bioinformatics and computational biology.
  • Communicate findings and results to a wide range of stakeholders in written and oral formats.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PhD in computational biology, bioinformatics or a related discipline.
  • Experience analyzing and troubleshooting a variety of next-generation sequencing data.
  • Experience implementing molecular dynamic simulations or other molecular modeling paradigms.
  • Applied experience with machine learning or statistical modeling a plus.
  • Fluency in Python, R, or both.
  • Comfortable working in Linux and / or cloud-based computational environments.
  • Open-minded, team-centric, collaborative approach to work and colleagues.
  • Industry experience a plus but not required.
