Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage Consultant project design team to complete an inclusive community involvement process and engineering contract documents.
- Monitor project schedules and budgets per the direction of CDOT management.
- Ensure compliance with the program, including but not limited to the Streetscapes Guidelines, Streetscape Project Checklist, ADA Standards, Street & Site Plan Design Standards, AASHTO, MUTCD, the Public Way Construction Regulations, IDOT BDE and IDOT BLRS.
- Oversee project-related processes, including preparing and administering presentations for a wide variety of audiences, including internal stakeholders, partner agencies, and the community at large.
- Coordinate with other CDOT Divisions and / or partner departments, sister agencies or other parties to ensure that projects are properly reviewed and coordinated.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, or related degree.
- 7+ years of professional experience post-graduation (or equivalent working knowledge / experience)
- Good technical writing, analytical and communication skills
- Strong technical writing, analytical and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with an emphasis on quality work products.
- Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP's health, safety and drug / alcohol and harassment policies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in CDOT projects and transportation agencies
- Professional Engineer (PE) License for the state of Illinois or ability to obtain in 6 months.
- Experience with technical reviews
- Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
